About Us
Our Story
If you know Dr. Jay Connelley, you will not only see a physician who has been a provider of patient care, but also someone who has sat himself in the patient's chair.

Dr. Jay has been practicing family medicine in Southeast Arkansas since 1998. He decided to build his own clinic in 2019 and thus Connelley Family Medical was born.
​
After 8 months of running his clinic, Dr. Jay diagnosed himself with leukemia which was confirmed 2 days later by a specialist. He immediately underwent extensive chemotherapy followed by a stem cell transplant in which his sister was the stem cell donor.
Throughout his treatments, Dr. Jay reviewed patient charts in collaboration with his medical staff to keep continuity of care for his patients.

Dr. Jay is now cancer free and wants to give back to his community. Cancer and COVID may have delayed the construction of our new Connelley Family Medical location, but faith in our mission has prevailed. Construction has begun and completion is expected in 2023!
